Creating a Presentation Rubric

Informative:

Exceeds Expectations – Knowing and understanding the content you are teaching, front and backwards.  Being able to answer questions.  Being able to apply the knowledge to different contexts.

Meets Expectations – Know the content you are teaching

Emerging – Being able to sight the major themes but can’t explain multiple ways.

Not there yet – Constantly having to check you’re notes, not being able to answer any of the questions being asked

Everyone Participates Meaningfully:

Exceeds Expectations – Creates a comfortable environment so even the shy people talk and contribute to the conversations.  So engaging students are talking over one another.  Students are reflecting on what’s being taught.  Students bring their ideas and experiences to the classroom.

Meets Expectations – All Students are engaged and participating.

Emerging – Only the outspoken students contribute to conversation and dialogue

Not there yet – Silent classroom.  You are the only one speaking.  Students not even taking notes.
